Start at 12 degrees with some showers prior to the start and through to about 2 mins after the start. Nice and cool anyway with a plenty of cloud cover and the day fined up eventually to 19 degrees at the finish. Back was ok but just very unfit. Stupid idea to do it the same as Canberra leading to another PW for the year.
Plenty of timing mats on this course. Helps having a former top runner as the RD. Won't mention all of them.
10k 48:45
20k 1:38:21
21.1k 1:43:25. Should have pulled out at half way as that was the extent of my fitness.
30k 2:34:08
40k 3:36:41
42.2k 3:50:33.
And I've run 50ks in that time almost.

Tough day at the office that one Paul! Hope you're not running the marathon in Melbourne!
Yes, beautiful organisation, with even a split mat for the bridge run and an official distance of 9.23k for the advertised approx 9k on the website.
