Now I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not? Red start group number arrived today.
Training on track? Zero, zip, zilch. Perfect to run then. I better go buy some flakes!
I am now walking without a limp which is a vast improvement from Tuesday last week when I picked the orthotics up. So the only way is up.

I love that number Flake. Tim's number at Little A's is 111. Belinda also had 111 for the TNF100. And now you've added another 1 for a 1111.
How much did you pay to get that?!
You'll look like one of the elites lined up on the front line next to Martin Dent.
Hi mate
I havent clocked in here for a while, sorry to hear you are still struggling with your heel. My orthotics were made to take the pressure off my heel also (which they did), but be careful with them, as they caused other issues.
Keep up self massage on the heel also, if it isnt bringing a tear to your eye you are going at it too soft!
Hope to catch you soon, will be great to see you out running again. Definitely hang on to that number too, what a momento!
cheers Fox
If Flakes are involved it has to be a good thing.
Thanks for your message on my blog. I've given it a lot of thought. I know what I'm like, if I do the half I will try to run faster and run the whole way. But if I do the full I'll be happy to cruise, even walk if I must. I have a couple of good friends who will be running close to 5 hours so might well end up finishing with them .... if they don't pass me!
Mate,
Although a different case, thought I'd mention that my massage therapist has battled PF tightness first thing in the morning for the past few years. He recently got rid of the problem just a few days after starting to wear the Nike Free 7.0's.
I've been taping my PF up for two years so I can keep running - once you get over the worst of it, it can be managed.
Keep that in the back of your mind and keep the chin up.
