6x1k Reps

First lot of 1k Reps since Late October. That Six Foot training has a lot to answer for, and I guess short track races over Summer didn't help the cause.

Headed down to the Bay Run to do these tonight. Not as humid as last week and not too much wind blowing, so was confident of them being quite decent in speed. Thought I went too fast doing the first one and was waiting for a nice blowup.

Reps were: 3:29, 3:28, 3:27, 3:29, 3:33, 3:31. All done with a 2 minute walk recovery between each. Did a 1k warmup and a 1k cool down after the session.
I like being consistent!

Mate you are like a swiss watch, a metronome even!

Seems you haven't lost any pace at all.

That's a great session Flake. Nice to see you've still got some speed after the hammering you have been giving your legs lately.

Nice work there. I just looked back to your October blog and your times were roughly similar.

So after the Canberra 50k will your focus be on the shorter stuff?

great to see there's still some speed there - don't overdo it though with 50k as the current goal!

That 5th one was terrible - did you have a headwind or something ;)

When you run these reps do you find it hard to see your watch? All I see are those darned spots.
