Tested out my new pair of trail shoes tonight. Well as much as running through sand, mud, grass and puddles can test a pair of trail shoes. No slippery Pluvio rocks, or Cox's river crossings in Centennial Park to try them on.
They are Asics Kahana in a pre dirty colour of grey. Hides the dirt real well. No dirt got into the shoe as the mesh is not open to the air like a normal road shoe. Should do well in the Mountains on Saturday.
Tonight was a run in the light rain and very windy Southerly. Ran 7.5ks in 44:18. Average pace of 5:54 per klm. Nice!
Legs feeling good.

Hey they do look good - I googled them - are you happy with the weight?
All trail shoes are fugly. Including mine. The Kahana's though are probably the best looking of them all. Not bad.
Hey, isn't it a bit late to be breaking in new shoes for a 45km race anyway ?
My 3-week old white/orange 1120s are already a lovely shade of brown.
Nice easy paced run :)
If it's 19-29 Saturday, I'll be bringing the cool-suit!
Best wishes Paul for the big one.
Congrats on the 10km PB too. For what its worth, I've done six foot in the normal asics training shoes.
