Into the gym again.
Legs felt absolutely trashed after that swim on Sunday. They hurt in places they never hurt from running.
Set the bike on the hills setting.
Got through 11.62ks in the 22 minutes. Average heart rate of 144BPM with a max heart rate of 167BPM.
That was easier than I thought it would be. Running tomorrow. Which means I am down to running every 2nd day now on the program. Cool.

Hi Superflake, I am doing the odd 30mins on the bike in the gym as well.
Can you tell me what setting you put the bike program 'level' at?
I had it on 8, then 10, then 12 but damn at level 12 for a 30min hills session is a killer. How on earth some people get up to 20 I have no idea?
do you have any info on what level is best for someone just wanting to do hills to strengthen the legs (as opposed to totally draining and hurting them...???)

Thnaks for the advice on the blog and in particular about the bike riding. I know for a fact from reading your blog you now speak with good authority on the subjct (though not by preference!)
Would love to ride a bike but I am not a member of a gym and to be honest I not that keen on them.
I am hoping to be back on my feet soon, thanks again for your comments and supprt, much appreciated. Likewise hope you are out running proper soon yourself. Sounds as though you are just about there.
