6x1k Reps

Around the bay with 26 miles and Guzzo. Actually they ran past me at one stage while I was doing some reps. Guzzo was chasing 26miles.
It was 17 degrees when I started according to the car, and 15 when I finished.

I did a 1k warmup and a 1k cool down after the session.
Reps were 3:37, 3:36, 3:40, 3:42, 3:38, 3:43. All done with a 2 minute walk recovery.

Didn't feel good as I have a head cold at the moment. Hopefully it stays there, and doesn't move to my chest.

Guzzo was probably chasing you and could only catch 26 miles.

'Blue Dog's Mum' is a dirty bitch.

It is so rivetting to watch a disaster slowly unfold.

I suppose that is why I keep reading this blog.

Now Paul, a quick check shows me that your latest 1km rep times are slower than your previous ones.

Here’s a secret training tip … try to get faster!!! Give it a go. Go on, try it!!!

Anyway, what are you doing training at ‘The Bay’? I know you don’t live over that way; in fact it is well out of your way to even go there. And besides, all that concrete must play havoc with your stressy frac. Oh well, someone once said ‘you don’t have to have a long neck to be a goose’.

Oh, I forgot. ‘The Bay!’ It’s just like soooooooo runner-trendy. Quite the place to be seen. Make sure you wear one of those new flashing arm-band things so people will think you’ve been doing laps since 3 a.m.

And the après-training brunches on offer in Norton Street are simply a must.

Have a wildberry and de-caf mocha skim frappe with a double twist of bush lemon, alongside a pomegranate, rhubarb and beetroot compote on a bed of cous-cous topped with a citrine and tangelo drizzle. Divine!

Do try and be overheard fielding a call on your mobile from your stockbroker before leaving, in order to complete the effect.

At least you’ll look like a Bay-runner.

You seem to know a lot about the bay run Blue Dog's mum. I feel your son must secretly covet that he could run around there and be that fast. And why does your son now run in centennial park? He must be following my training schedule and will soon move to the bay so he can wear his skins while drinking his latte.

Why do I have this Dame Edna type voice in my head when I read Blue Dog's Mum's comments???
